Annmarie Anderson

Annmarie Anderson began her studies at the Chicago Academy of Fine Arts. After moving to the Florida Keys in 1972, she continued her studies at Miami-Dade Community College and Florida International University. After school, she began a successful career as an interior designer. However, after a few years she decided to spend more time painting, her true love.

She and her husband Jimmy live in a quaint conch house in historic Old Tavernier. Her award winning paintings often reflect the sparkling waters, tropical vegetation, “conch” architecture and nautical life she encounters every day.

Annmarie’s paintings can be found in numerous collections throughout the United States and abroad. She has two galleries that regularly feature her work: Shady Palms Art Gallery and the Key West Art Center. Her artwork may also be seen by appointment at her studio, The Cottage in Old Tavernier.
